How we built mental resilience in a team of leaders
Program based on the TOP360® model
In one of the production and technology companies, we implemented a development program - "Resilience 360°" - focused on mental resilience and self-management during change.
The teams were facing performance pressure, a rapidly changing environment, and a sense of overload.
Leaders reported that, despite their experience and strong motivation, it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain energy within the team – frustration, lower engagement, and emotional tension began to emerge. Some individuals even experienced burnout.
The goal of the program was not only to strengthen individual resilience but also to create a shared language for discussing emotions, boundaries, and coping strategies under pressure within teams.
As a result, the program became a turning point in the company’s work culture – shifting from reactivity to responsibility and self-awareness.
01
TOP360 Mental Resilience Diagnosis and Individual Sessions
Each leader began by taking the TOP360® mental resilience assessment, which identified both individual and team resilience profiles across 12 areas, such as a sense of efficacy, a proactive sense of purpose, and emotional self-regulation.
The results were discussed during individual development sessions, during which each leader:
-
analysed their strengths and development areas,
-
identified factors that strengthen and weaken resilience,
-
defined personal development goals and energy management strategies.
Thanks to this stage, participants entered the next phase of the process with greater self-awareness and readiness to act.
02
Onsite workshop: “Leader and team resilience in action”
During a full-day onsite session, we focused on two perspectives of mental resilience – individual (the leader’s) and collective (the team’s).
Participants explored how to manage their own energy, emotions, and stress in a leadership role, while also learning how to create a work environment that fosters resilience, engagement, and team cohesion.
They particularly appreciated the practical work on how to maintain balance under pressure — and how not to “transfer stress” to the team. They also valued the tools for building constructive narratives in difficult situations.
They explored ways a leader can keep direction and a sense of purpose, even when the context is uncertain.
And finally — how to lead post-mistake and post-failure conversations that build learning and resilience, instead of blame.
The workshop included managerial simulations, decision-making micro-scenarios, and team exercises, allowing leaders to experience how their attitude impacts the team’s emotions, energy, and behaviour.
We also worked with the concept of micro-resilience – short, daily practices that help both leaders and teams maintain clarity, calm, and engagement in a dynamic work environment.

Peer coaching and implementation
In the next phase, leaders worked in small peer-coaching groups, sharing experiences and supporting one another in consolidating new habits. These meetings helped translate the TOP360® insights into leadership practice:
-
how to sustain resilience in high-pressure environments,
-
how to support the team’s emotional balance,
-
how to use resilience as a foundation for a feedback and trust-based culture.
Peer coaching turned out to be one of the most valuable elements of the program – it strengthened relationships among leaders and created space for open, mature conversations about emotions, stress, and boundaries.
Meaningful Dashboard – a plan for sustaining resilience
The final stage of the program involved each leader creating their own Meaningful Dashboard – a personal plan for maintaining resilience and energy in daily work.
It included:
-
key strategies and rituals for strengthening resilience,
-
specific behaviours the leader wanted to introduce to their team,
-
a plan for 1:1 conversations about wellbeing and balance,
-
personal progress indicators (energy, focus, sense of purpose, alignment).
Participants were paired as accountability partners, supporting each other in implementing their plans.
Program outcomes
Leaders gained a clear set of practical tools and strategies that helped them take a crucial step toward building both individual and team mental resilience.
The program concluded with a structured roadmap for embedding these practices into daily routines, ensuring that what had been developed during the workshops would not be lost in the rush of everyday work.
To enhance the durability of the results, each leader worked with an implementation partner – an individual with whom they regularly exchanged experiences and mutually motivated each other to maintain the new habits.
This support proved essential in developing consistency, reflection, and long-term resilience.
Read the opinion of one of the participants of our program:
This program was a moment of reflection for me – I realised how much, as a leader, I influence my team’s emotions and energy. Thanks to the TOP360® diagnosis and workshops, I learned not only to manage my own stress better but also to support others during difficult moments. The implementation partnership helped me maintain my new habits and bring more calm, reflection, and consistency into my daily work. It was one of the most practical and valuable training experiences I’ve ever had.
